The wonder veggie!

Seaweed grows naturally in salt water.  With thousands of seaweed varieties across the world, it is an undeniably valuable nutritional plant.  Here’s what I’ve gotten...simplified.
Among its numerous benefits:-

Low salt – too much salt intake is a ‘high-five’ for high blood pressure.  Seaweed being a low salt content is an option for low salt diet.  Aside lowering blood pressure, it helps reduce the risk of stroke and may improve the heart health.

Low calories- with low calories, you can get rid of high calorie snacks...keropok & all!  On low calorie diet it’ll be much easier to watch on your weight rather than gain them.  The trick is...take in fewer calories & you’ll lose weight!

Fiber rich – it’s just as if you’re on fruits and veggies.  You get the same amount of fiber in a banana from a 8g seaweed.  Trust me; you’ll feel full much longer after.  In a way helps promote weight control.  Gee!

Vitamins & minerals – seaweed is high in iodine, vitamin k, B-vitamin, folate, magnesium, iron and calcium. Also contain vitamin B12, to help fight fatigue and B12 deficiency.  These are generous contributors of lustrous flowing hair and glowing complexions.

Menopausal signs- help provide estrogen, essential to help reduce menopausal discomfort in women such as in times of hot flushes.

Well, that wraps it up.  So what do you say?

When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator; Mahatma Gandhi.

Seaweed from eastern coast of Malaysia

Heard talk of Sabahan seaweed of late.  Got to try 'em myself.   With high collagen content, you can say its just one of "women's" whims not to not try it! Here's how it look like...hmm...

Cook em in hot boiling water...make sure to soak em 1st.  You won't want to take in those salt!  Wait awhile..i give it around half hour.  Clean well, then boil till it gets jelly-like.  You'll want to add a piece of dried tamarind to overcome the smell or put in a twist of lemon.  I made chinese soup garnished with chicken meat, after garlic's stir fry.  Add a little salt to taste, maybe a little sugar....then last, add an egg.

Try em...a little difference in what you take in won't hurt.  I think of them as complementary health food.  Why not... give it a try!  Best yet...it's just about everywhere.  If you can't locate them, locate me...haha!
